I have come to relize, there’s no such thing as a bad nutrient: carbohydrates, protein, and fats all perform important jobs in our bodies…
We are all becoming more aware of that fact the what we eat is a major part of our Health and Wellness Lifestyle… For me it’s no longer about crazy dietes. It’s about eating what fuels my body, and what’s a healthy option that taste good.
Today’s modified meal recipe especially if you are a vegetarian is a Lemon Hummus Sandwich!
1 can of garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained
1/2 cup nonfat plain yogurt
1 tablespoon chopped scallions
1 large romaine lettuce leaf
4 whole wheat pita bread halves
1 tablespoon lemon pepper seasoning
*Mix ingredients into a blender with a 1/4 cup of water. , *stir in carrots and scallions into the chickpea mixture.
